Exegesis

Hello,everyone. The reason I created this blog is because of my Web Communication Assignment. My blog title is ‘Travel story with MEri’. The meaning of MEri is a combination word of me and Miri. Throughout the blog, I will share my travel experiences in Miri. The places that I will share through this blog are Canada Hills, Various Beaches in Miri, Miri Nightlife, Niah Cave and East Wood Valley. Every single places that I have been through, behind it sure have a hidden personal story with unforgettable memories.

The design and background image of my blog that I have chosen is the design from Blogger Template Designer in Blogger website. My theme of the blog is based on travel theme and background image of my blog is a real steel of train track way. The reason that I chose this picture is because life is like a train track way path for us to explore every single place and learn something new to nourish our life experiences.

The three contributing nodes of my blog are Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. Three of these contributing nodes are web 2.0 platforms. Web 2.0 is a web platform which performs in dynamic content and two –ways communication webpage which allow us to communicate, collaborate and sharing information through the World Wide Web. Facebook, Twiiter and Tumblr which is a Web 2.0 platform that allow me to communicate with other blog users, friends and family by sharing, tagging and commenting about my travel experiences on my blog. (O’Reilly, 2005).

The reason that I chose Facebook as my contributing node for my blog is because I always sharing information with my friends and family through facebook. I can also easily tagging and see my blog comments from my Facebook followers. Moreover, I chose Tumblr as my contributing node because I can easily share my travel post to more people around the world.  Folksonomies in the Tumblr allow me unlimited tagging to content sharing sites. Tumblr system function according to the metadata system which is the information that is highly structured such as documents, books, articles, articles, photographs and videos (Mathes, 2004).  I choose Twitter as my contributing node because I can easily share my every new blog post with all my Twitter followers and keep them inform about my updates and reviews within a short time.

In conclusion, I will understand more about the contributing nodes in web after I created my blog. Moreover, I also understand more the topic about how the roles of Web 2.0 changed the way of people communicating and collaborating nowadays by using Internet. Web 2.0 make our life so much easier in sharing information and gaining life experiences around the world.
